Message from Secretary General

The ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC) was established in 2011 by receiving an approval for its establishment and operation at the 8th ASEM Summit (October 2010). As an international cooperation agency for promoting eco-innovation of SMEs in ASEM member countries, ASEIC is operated in close collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

ASEIC aims to expand eco-innovation of developing countries in the ASEM region and perform global cooperation projects to promote sustainable mutual growth. For this, ASEIC at the moment serves to share experience and knowledge among ASEM member countries and support SMEs to exchange eco-friendly & innovative technologies and grow in economic terms.

Celebrating the 10th year of establishment, ASEIC will make sustained efforts to enlarge collaboration with various stakeholders including member countries’ governments, industries, academia and international society by taking advantage of its experience and networks accumulated so far. Such a commitment is for ASEIC to make a contribution in the achievement of eco-friendly innovations by SMEs in ASEM countries and of Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the 2015 UN General Assembly.

ASEIC will continue to fully assume its role as a bridge of eco-innovation between Asian and European SMEs in the future.
