Eco-friendly entrepreneurship training for foreign workers in Korea 18 Dec 2018

? On November 4th, 11th, and 18th, the “Environmentally friendly entrepreneurship training for foreign workers in Korea” was hosted by ASEIC in the Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center in Yongsan, Seoul with the support of ASEAN-Korea Center, Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center, and the Foundation of Agri, Tech, Commercialization, and Transfer.
- The training was implemented with activities such as ▲ instillation of environmentally friendly entrepreneurship, ▲ discovery of business ideas, ▲ local and domestic business start-up mentoring, and ▲ drafting and presentation of business plans for 50 workers from Cambodia and Indonesia who work in the Korean industry and is to return to their country in less than 1 year.
? During the training period, foreign workers learned the basic knowledge for creating environmentally friendly businesses and participated in the training for instilling entrepreneurship by the workshop with Korean, Cambodian, and Indonesian experts
? During the completion ceremony, the secretary general of ASEIC, Sejong Kim, pointed out that since most of the foreign workers of ASEAN countries who were a part of the Korean industrial workforce are hoping to create a business after returning to their home country. Their entrepreneur activities and network will become a benefit to Korean SMEs in terms of ASEAN market entrance.
? ASEIC has been implementing environmentally friendly entrepreneurship training demonstration programs for foreign workers since 2017. The purpose of this program is to bridge the technical and cultural differences experienced by immigrants into startup businesses, and thus contribute to development and job creation of local economy.
